Memorable moments from our first year #2

The kids enjoying the view from the top of Mt Nameless, near Tom Price.

Perfect campfire bread on the Gibb River Rd

Scruffy Selfie - nearing the end of our Gibb River Rd adventure (at El Questro Station).

A morning spent with my camera at Port Julia, Yorke Peninsula SA

Doing a hike at Mt Augustus, the kids finished arm in arm to encourage each other up the steep rocky path in 39deg heat.

The very friendly cows at De Grey River, they just wandered right through our camp.
Camping in a dry river bed looking out to Mt Augustus, amazing view but we got bogged on the way out!
One of the many sunset dinners along the Ningaloo Coast , this one at Waroora Station with Val & Henry

A sunset dinner on top of Mt Nameless.

Jackson impressed with one of several lobsters Daniel caught on the Ningaloo Coast.

Daniel caught lots of fresh seafood when Damo and Mel visited.
Bogged in 40deg heat, after half an hour Daniel got the winch out. We both earned our beers that day.

Our bush girl, balancing on a log watching the full moon rise at Rocky Pool.

A freshly caught Marron, a local delicacy (like a giant yabbie!).

An unexpected gem of a campsite beside Pildappa Rock, a short climb gave spectacular views.

Birds flying against the wind at Lancelin, a beautiful but extremely windy town on the west coast.

A great night at Barn Hill with my parents. Roast dinner, live music and dancing looking over the ocean.
Enjoying the spectacular colours of another sunset from the lookout just above our camp spot at Coronation Beach (near Geraldton)

Our grubby son wandering through the native grasses and wildflowers at Barn Hill.

At Bell Gorge the second time we got there early and had the place to ourselves (the water that was still in the shade was SOOO freezing though).

Sunset colours on the Manning River

Daniel's first lobster, he couldn't wipe the smile off his face.

Some of the wonderful friends we have met on the trip - Martin, Kelly and Alexandra.
The stone I had just extracted from Jackson's nose after he pushed it up there - the cheeky smile says it all.

A fabulous Christmas Lights cruise with a some fabulous friends, the Hughes.

After climbing to the top of Pildappa Rock Emilia was quite proud of herself.

Jackson slept in Daniel's arms for the hike back from the amazing Manning Falls.

Relaxing in a secluded freshwater pond on the Gibb River Rd.

The Zeebedee hot springs were a natural delight.
A big squid at Ningaloo.

About to cross Yardie Creek (saltwater), only crossable a few days a month at super low tide so it was quite an achievement to do it.

Oysters Kilpatrick collected by Daniel and Jackson at Boat Harbour, Ningaloo Coast.

What a haul - at Ningaloo.

Daniel's birthday celebrations at Saw Pit Gorge.
